Brad Friederichs, owner and president of VE Solutions, Inc., has over 30 years of experience as a consulting structural engineer. During his career, Brad worked as a project engineer for Cole/Yee/Schubert and was responsible for hundreds of different projects. In 1987, he was promoted to Vice President and Project Manager. In this position for seven years, he supervised project engineers on over 200 projects. He served as Senior Vice President and Business Development Manager of the firm for three years just prior to starting his own company.



Brad also has experience in the steel fabrication industry and is extremely knowledgeable about the steel fabrication process. Additionally, he has his California General Building Contractor's License. Brad obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with honors, from California State University, Sacramento and is registered as a structural engineer in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Texas, and Hawaii.



Brad is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of California and was a director of that organization from 1990–1993 and president of the organization's Central California chapter from 1989–1990. He also belongs to the following organizations:



Brad was selected as chairman of the Loma Prieta Earthquake Disaster Response Team in 1989 and the Northridge Earthquake Disaster Response Team in 1994. Awards he has received include a citation from the State of California Office of Emergency Services for exemplary efforts towards emergency response during the October 17, 1989, Loma Prieta earthquake and a Recognition for Dedicated Service and Significant Achievement in the Profession award from California State University, Sacramento.
